You don’t answer emails, and it takes me two calls and three transfers to get you on the phone. In a nasal monotone, you respond to questions grudgingly, with narrow answers and arcane technical jargon. Fifteen minutes and 20 blood pressure points later, I have my answer.

Heh-heh. In these cases, I try to resist the tendency to call alternate sources instead, just so the cantankerous folks don’t find being obstructive a particularly successful tactic with me. But, oh, the sighing that goes on before I have to pick up the phone to call ‘em.
If I knew this guy a little better, I’d just have a heart-to-heart with him: “Look, what do you want me to do, sit up and bark? I need the info, you’re the go-to person, so let’s go to it.”
Thanks for the kind words on my blog makeover. Right now I’m puzzling over why the darned graphics in my right column won’t center like I want them to. Must be something in the template, but it’s currently beyond my skills to fix. None of my usual “align” tricks are working. Grr. :oP
