Twitter Digest: My Tweets for 2008-03-31
- Up and at ‘em. Monday morning. *groan* #
- Almost out of base makeup. Had to swipe the last dregs from the bottle with a Q-Tip. Now ready to face the world. #
- My sleepyhead launched out of the door without complaint this morning; my chirpy morning child is drooping over her breakfast. #
- Pondering how I’m going to prop myself awake all morning at work and still get stuff done. Went to bed EARLY last night, for heaven’s sake. #
- @zefrank Happy birthday! Mine was Saturday, the 20th anniversary of my 27th birthday. ::eye roll:: #
- @psychicgeek Could call it the Toxic Tech Hole. But that sounds like a robot disease. :oP #
- I’m trying to write a third-quarter summary of my team’s accomplishments. Thank goodness my team leader keeps EXCELLENT notes. #
- Yay! Heading to Cheeburger, Cheeburger for a late lunch. #
- Just noticed the gorgeous yelllow tulips in front of my office. Have they all suddenly opened today, or have I been oblivious? #
- HOORAY! My short-term disability claim finally got approved today from my end-of-February hospital stay. Money, at last. #
- Fantastic burger for lunch but practically had to beg for tea. Still tipped; I waitressed one summer and am a soft touch. #
- Really do not want to face our dirty house and still-packed suitcases tonight. (Last night, we all just tucked in early.) #
- I’m still trying to figure out a way to see Twitter replies in the main “recent” window. Can you? I keep forgetting to check that tab. #
- @jenlemen You’re golden, Jenlemen. Word’s dictionary probably can’t even spell “oops.” #
- Heading to bookstore for belated birthday buying binge. :o) #

Pics from Birthday Weekend at Park
It’s one of those funny things that — because I’m usually taking the photos — I’m seldom in them. That’s fine with me. I had a fine birthday weekend at Percy Quin State Park in McComb, Mississippi, with my family and my husband’s extended family. Here are a few photos of the festivities and the scenery.
My oldest, about as sedate as she gets, on the park swings before the misting rain chased us away:
Caitlyn concentrated but still wiped out on the game room’s WaveRunner. (We retreated to the game room during the brief rainshower.)

The bubble swords and wands we brought from Wal-Mart were a big hit.

While the idea of this much pollen all around me makes my allergic self shudder, the puddle after a rainshower was kind of pretty.

I’d say that I saved the prettiest photo for last, but that wouldn’t be true after photos of my children’s faces! Let’s call this wisteria closeup the prettiest FLOWER photo, then.
(P.S. I took plenty of photos of my niece and nephew too, but I don’t post pics of other people’s children without parents’ permission, and I haven’t remembered to ask yet. It’s the Internet’s loss for now, because they’re adorable.)

Twitter Digest: My Tweets for 2008-03-30
- Playing Cranium with kids. #
- We’re all helping the kids’ team for Cranium so they’re whipping our butts. #
- Reading the first few pages of one of my birthday presents, “Duma Key.” #
- Tucking in. G’night, Twitterers. #
- One more note: Husband commandeered body pillow I brought from home. Am forced to sleep cuddled up to him instead. Clever man. #
- Slept late. At least there was still enough hot water left for a bath! :o) #
- Father-in-law likes the FedEx shirts hubby sends him. New slogan: Work hard; send more shirts. #
- Putting makeup on under better lighting conditions is appalling. Whose pores are THESE? #
- On the road again … 5 hours and 15 minutes to home, not counting our lunch stop. #
- There’s this one guy who keeps slowing down in front of us but gets frosted if we pass him and he’ll speed up again. I’m starting to fee … #
- Just gasped — thought today was a Girl Scout meeting day at my house. Then remembered it’s just first and third Sundays. *whew* #
- Noticed that Slim Jim wrapper says they contain “mechanically separated chicken.” Disturbing images, trying to puzzle that out. #
- Stopped at Western Sizzlin’ for lunch. Got the world’s smallest, greasiest buffet. Now want to nap even more than before lunch. #
- Just passed a “Jesus: is he in you?” billboard. That just sounds WRONG. #
- Just got home from 2-day trip. Found that my main blog had a fatal error up all that time. Grr. Sent my Entrecard advertiser free credits. #
- Wish the tech guy’s English had been better so he could explain what caused the site glitch. Apparently some setting on THEIR end. #
- @ArachneJericho *waving* Hi, just got your greeting. Couldn’t figure how to check replies from my Blackberry. Back home safely now too. :o) #
- @schmutzie Good luck with the arm warmers! That’s a project I haven’t tried. I’ve got partial socks made for several pairs. :o( #
