Collection: Weird alarm clocks

I can’t resist collecting links of things that interest me, and I’m playing with different ways of adding them to my blog. One way is by using Wists.com. If you’re not familiar with this service, it’s a great tool: You can quickly clip images of things you find online and create an online collection, complete with tags and links to the original site. I used it to create the scrolling display below of weird alarm clocks I’ve found online, and also this RSS feed for my weird alarm clock collection:

What do you think — annoying addition to the site, or not? These aren’t things I’m selling — just cool stuff I found online. I’m probably going to add a separate page to this blog just to house the various “collections” I put together like this. I also collect links about octopuses, wall stickers, weird knitting, and more. You’ve been warned. :o)

Hey Carolyn,

Yeah, its a cool addition to the site! This post reminded me of an obscure bit of trivia i had locked away in the back of my head somewhere. My dad repairs antique clocks and (annoyingly enough) there were some kitchen and parlor clocks with alarms on them as far back as the early 1800’s. I’m just wondering where they had to go that they needed the alarm!

Anyway, cool topic.
